I was so happy when Claire and Niall booked me to photograph their wedding day in the Yorkshire Dales, not only are they kind on the eyes but they are such a fun couple, and with Niall bringing his family and friends over from Ireland I knew we would be in for a good wedding! The getting ready and reception parts of the day were held in Kettlewell, with the latter at the village hall, and their ceremony took part at Craigmar, a lovely private home in Hebden. With the original plan being an outdoor humanist wedding ceremony, the plans had to change slightly due to the weather being rather unkind for a summer wedding, but Hannah from Your Three Days lifted everyone’s sprits with a moving, yet light hearted ceremony. With a short break in the rain, the guests were able to head outside for a few group photos, and then after lunch it was back on the bus to Kettlewell for the reception. Thankfully, the weather brightened up in the evening and we were able to head to the hills for some portraits amongst the stunning countryside. I absolutely love Jenny Packham wedding dresses, so I was rather spoilt with Claire having not one but two amazing dresses, with an extra special golden number for the dancing in the evening! It was great to work with Nigel again from The Wedding Car Hire Company in York
